My Story

Hi, I'm Quest

My health and wellness journey started in 2018 when unresolved trauma and grief compromised my physical and mental well-being. I developed hypertension, as well as situational depression, and anxiety.

As I coped with my diagnosis, I had difficulty eating, sleeping, and even driving. My mental health was affecting my physical health and vice versa. My situation forced me to make some serious changes in my life. I decided to tackle the hypertension first.

I started to put together a plan to  improve the hypertension. Life experiences and my background in Psychology helped me determine which steps to take to care for myself. I developed a strong support system.  I sought support from friends, family, medical professionals, and a therapist.

Slowly, I took small steps to heal myself from the inside out through diet, exercise, and other wellness practices.

Additionally, I learned how my emotions affected my choices and how being more intentional reduced stress. I researched how diet affected mental and physical well-being and which  foods helped lower my blood pressure.

I adopted a predominately whole foods based diet, reduce my salt and sugar intake, and started going to the gym with a group of friends. I merged mental and physical wellness techniques and developed a strategy that eventually reversed my hypertension and improved my mental health.

I figured, if I could improve my situation, others could too! My desire to help other women optimize thier health and feel their best, led me to continue my quest and become an AFPA Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

Coach Quest is a great coach and listener. I have struggled with anxiety and depression for the last 20 years of my life.  I have taken medication to help me cope to get through the day.  Thankfully from reaching out to this fabulous and informative life coach I am now participating in meditation and I am back walking about 10 miles a week.   I also joined barre classes. I am so thankful for having the opportunity and the resources to feel normal again and to be myself.

It took me awhile to to realize that I need help with my eating habits. Trying different diets and not finding one that works for me. I reached out to Quest for help. I explained to her what is going and how I’m trying to make changes with my weight and diet. I’m glad I reached out to her. She helped me by giving me awesome advice.she helped me stay on track with goals and taught me how to create good habits. She helped me start a new journey with my health.
